How to Connect Galaxy Buds With All Your Devices
The Galaxy Buds are Samsung's true wireless answer to Apple's wildly popular AirPods, and, according to our analysts, they're even a bit better. If you're a dedicated Samsung Galaxy user, these are the earbuds for you.
Connecting Galaxy Buds$127.97 at Amazon to a Galaxy device is just as easy as linking AirPods$179.00 at Amazon with your iPhone. Plus, they can also be paired with any of your other gadgets, including computers, tablets, and phones.
Here's how to connect (and also disconnect) the Galaxy Buds with your PC, MaciPhoneiPad, or Android device.

  • How to Connect the Galaxy Buds

The first step in connecting the Galaxy Buds with your device—any device—is to open their charging case. It might not look like it, but by opening the case, the earbuds automatically go into pairing mode, allowing phones, computers, and tablets to find them through Bluetooth.

Chances are you'll be using the Galaxy Buds with multiple devices, so make sure to disconnect them from one device before trying to connect them to another. The earbuds will have trouble pairing otherwise. The easiest way to do this is to simply turn off Bluetooth on the first device before trying to connect with the second.
  • Pair Galaxy Buds With a Samsung Device

Pairing the Galaxy Buds with your Samsung Galaxy device is a relatively short and simple process. All you have to do is have Bluetooth turned on and open the case. Your device will automatically detect them and a pop-up message will allow you to connect the earbuds immediately.

Otherwise, you can go into the Bluetooth settings and find the earbuds in a list, and the pairing process will begin automatically. Once the Galaxy Buds have been paired, you won't need to go through the process again. In the future, just make sure that Bluetooth is on and then tap both earbuds at the same time to reconnect.
  • Customize With the Samsung Wear App

Once the earbuds have been connected, your phone's Samsung Wear app will automatically launch. This is where you can check the battery life on the Galaxy Buds and use the Find My Earbuds feature. You can also control equalizer, notifications, touch pad, and ambient sound settings. The app can even be used to reconnect the earbuds.
  • Unpair Galaxy Buds With a Samsung Device

You can unpair the Galaxy Buds from your Samsung Galaxy device via the Bluetooth settings menu of the phone. The easiest way to do this is to pull down the notification shade from the top of the screen and open the Bluetooth menu.

With Bluetooth turned on, the phone will search for nearby devices, but you can tap Details, then select the gear icon next to the Galaxy Buds on the list. This will show you the settings for the paired device, where you can tap Unpair to disconnect them.
  • Pair Galaxy Buds With an Android Device

Thankfully, the Galaxy Buds work with other Android devices too, though the connection process may differ depending on your device.

On the Google Pixel 2, for instance, you pull down the notification shade from the top of the screen and long-press on the Bluetooth button. Select Pair new device, then choose the Galaxy Buds from the list of available nearby devices.
  • Unpair Galaxy Buds With Android Device

If you wish to unpair the Galaxy Buds from your Android device, open the Bluetooth menu and tap the gear icon next to the listed earbuds. Tap Forget on the next page, and the Galaxy Buds will be unpaired.
  • Pair Galaxy Buds With a Windows 10 Laptop

You can pair the Galaxy Buds with a Windows 10 machine by first opening the Start Menu and searching "Bluetooth." Click Bluetooth and other device settings (alternatively, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices).

Click Add Bluetooth or other device, then select Bluetooth from the pop-up window. The computer will begin to search for nearby devices, then you can select the earbuds from the list.
  • Unpair Galaxy Buds With a Windows 10 Laptop

If you're looking to permanently unpair the Galaxy Buds from the computer, return to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices. Now you will see that the earbuds are listed under Audio. Click the name, then click Remove device to unpair them.
  • Pair Galaxy Buds With an iOS Device

Connecting to an iPhone or iPad works the same way. Open Settings > Bluetooth and select the Galaxy Buds.
  • Unpair Galaxy Buds With an iOS Device

If you wish to disconnect the Galaxy Buds from your iOS device, open Settings > Bluetooth and tap the information icon. You will then have the option to disconnect the earbuds or remove them from the device permanently.
  • Pair Galaxy Buds With a Mac

Pairing the Galaxy Buds with a Mac is relatively simple. Open System Preferences > Bluetooth. When you see the Galaxy Buds appear on the list of nearby devices, click Connect. Check the box at the bottom of the window and a Bluetooth symbol will sit in the menu bar, making it easier to connect and disconnect your earbuds.
  • Unpair Galaxy Buds With a Mac

If you want to permanently unpair the Galaxy Buds from your Mac, go to System Preferences > Bluetooth and click the X next to the listing for the earbuds.
